Biography
Ronald Bleys is a Professor of Clinical Anatomy at Utrecht University’s Faculty of Medicine and the chairman of the Faculty Club, a hub for the university community and international guests.
His research primarily explores the autonomic nervous system, focusing on its interaction with the vascular system and its role in regulating inflammatory responses.
Bleys is a versatile anatomist with extensive teaching experience, training medical residents and specialists. In 2013 he won the Outstanding Teacher Award of Utrecht University.
His department is a recognized center for postgraduate anatomical training in the Netherlands, hosting renowned international courses. He is also involved in innovative teaching methods, such as developing virtual 3D anatomical models.
