diagnostics and surgical treatment of upper extremity nerve entrapments
Open reduction and plate fixation of distal radius fractures remains an important adjunct in treatment of intra-articular distal radius fractures. Recognition of fracture pattern is essential for correct reconstruction of articular surface of distal radius fractures. Multiplanar reconstruction computed tomography imaging will provide useful information to demonstrate what corners of the radiocarpal and distal radio-ulnar joint are involved in the fracture and the appropriate approach, reduction and fixation of all involved fragments.
These principles will be demonstrated by showing different clinical cases with focus on approach and fixation of the intra-articular distal radius fracture.
